and it says 'easter kisses' :)

btw, this is an outline that was left after this egg had been cut

i used 2 fonts: monika + dream orphans (diacritics by me)

no rooster, no easter

i tried some prettier shape (egg dies from sizzix)

houndstooth pattern & rooster design by me in AI

(it can be hardly seen, but i covered the houndstooth with adhesive tracing paper

and it's softer, slightly less contrastable, smoother and even feels silky, as a result)

both ribbons expose wrong sides that i find nicer

very healthy egg

there is no need to be biased against eggs anymore,

once we've learned they are actually healthier to eat than we used to think,

yet i think ascorbic acid is what really rocks in terms of nutrition! ;)

traditionally, this is the day for decorating eggs for easter in easter(n) europe :)

this egg was meant to be a gift tag, yet my boyfriend missed his chance to use it ;)

so i added the hen, changed the sentiment and repurposed the tag itself

as you can see my hen is a tad smaller than the egg...

the point is this is a dinosaur egg, which kind of explains who managed to came along first ;)

i use liquid sealant called fray check (produced by dritz) to prevent ribbons from fraying

i like this method best, over nail polish and heat
these are competitors available out there, but a little bottle will last me a long time, so... :)
